Announcing the FUTURESTATES Audience Award!
You’ve watched the films. You’ve shared, commented, and liked. Maybe even loved. There have been ups and downs, laughter and tears. And this May, you get to decide who will take the laurels in our inaugural FUTURESTATES Audience Award.
From today until May 30 at midnight, the race is on to launch your favorite FUTURESTATES film into hyperspace. Head back to FUTURESTATES.TV, catch up on any films you missed, and check out the fan pages for each of the films.
You can vote once a day, and polling closes at midnight on May 30. We’ll announce the winner on June 1, 2011.

FUTURESTATES’ Spring of Sorrow Now Available Online
The short by Suzi Yoonessi is streaming free on FUTURESTATES.TV.
The original online series FUTURESTATES continues its online release this week with the short Spring of Sorrow. The story follows two sisters who lead a nomadic life after being displaced by global warming. Trapped in the desert in the midst of a water shortage, Isabelle tells her younger sister Lily a fairytale that explains how the tragedy came to be.

Attend the FUTURESTATES Launch Party
ITVS, KQED, and Public Works invite you to attend the launch party to ring in the second season of FUTURESTATES on Wednesday, March 30 in San Francisco.
The event will feature screenings of Asparagus by Robby Henson, and Remigration by Barry Jenkins, two new episodes from the series.
San Francisco’s award-winning writer and director Barry Jenkins will be on hand to participate in a Q&A following the screening with Series Manager, Karim Ahmad.
